H.F. Meyers

H.F. Meyers was a musical instrument maker out of Chicago. Specializing in stringed instruments, Meyers focused mainly on guitar, but did advertise Harp-Guitars and both mandolins and mandolas. It is speculated whether the Larson Brothers were the actual makers.

In 1913, Meyers created a Domra inspired Mando-Bass which had a circular body and a relatively short scale as the neck only supports 13 frets.

There is no record of this instrument being put into production. This is reinforced by the fact that in 1915 Meyers debuted a Double/Contrabass guitar which served as an alternative to the Mando-Bass.
